- Nominations are welcome from individuals and organisations from Europe and the Middle East
- ‘Best Student’ award categories only: Nominated students should have completed training between 1 December 2024 and 30 June 2026
- All submitted material must comply with data protection laws. Those being nominated must have been informed and agree with the evidence provided and contact details being shared with the organisers
- The nomination window opened on 11 July 2026 and will remain open until 2359 hrs BST on 10 September 2026. Nominations must be submitted using our ‘Nomination form’ by 2359 hrs BST on 10 September 2026
- Submissions remain private between the applicant and the organisers until the official winner announcements.
- Nominations will be reviewed for a short-list against the nomination criteria between 11 September and 21 September 2026
- Entries may be reassigned categories
- Short-listed nominees will be notified by 28 September 2026
- Those nominees not short-listed will be informed by 28 September 2026
- Short-listing will be carried out utilising an objective matrix system taking the nomination criteria into account. Nominations will be disqualified if they do not meet the eligibility criteria
- Judging by our independent panel will take place between 28 September and 14 October 2026 and will be based upon the quality of supporting evidence given on the nomination form
- Shortlisting and judging decisions will be based on quality of supporting evidence and not quantity of nominations.
- Panels use standardised criteria, scoring ranges, and independent scorecards to evaluate submissions. Scoring focuses on merit, verified impact, evidence of outcomes, and innovation rather than the volume of nominations received
- If any disagreement between judges or if two candidates have equal scores, then the Head Judge will coordinate a discussion with as many judges as possible to discuss and agree who should receive the award. If there is no resolution, then the Head Judge* will have the casting vote.
- A quorum of three judges minimum is required to agree any recommendation
- Judges must declare any personal or professional ties to an entry
- A judge who is connected in any way with a nominee is forbidden to be involved in debating or scoring that candidate. (*should the Head Judge be connected to a nominee, then a Deputy will be appointed to have the casting vote)
- Inaccurate data, a public awareness of or attempts to directly influence judges will result in immediate disqualification
- In the unlikely scenario where the judges know from the extensive industry knowledge and experience that a nominee’s ‘history’ would undermine the credibility of the judges, Seager Publishing, the Professional Flight Training Awards or the aviation training industry were they to be awarded, their nomination will not be considered for an award
- Finalists and winners agree to permit the use of their names, (logos where appropriate), and nomination summaries for post-event promotion
- The judging panel’s decision is final, and no appeals or correspondence are entered into consideration.
